Iv been a regular customer at the Burrendale hotel for years and visit several times a year with family as we always loved it and we have always supported this hotel so it was very disappointing to see that loyal paying guests are treated very differently from influencers who are invited on PR stays!! Recently I saw on social media somebody had been given the best room available, special birthday treats and all the extras. In all the years we’ve came here, we’ve never been once offered anything similar (and we have been down here on 2 of our birthdays this year alone), there’s been no upgrade, no special touches and no acknowledgement of our loyalty. This hotel seems to prioritise publicity over regular customers who spend their own money and come back repeatedly. It would be nice if loyalty was appreciated, very off putting now as we loved this place and the staff!!

The Burrendale Hotel is very comfortable and clean. The food is terrible. There is only one man cooking breakfast and there are only small amounts of food set out. This unfortunately is a blessing as the fried eggs when put into server are full of grease. The sausages, some are brown and some PURE WHITE. I queried with the cook if indeed they had been cooked. He said they were straight out of the oven!! White sausages. The hotel said there was no need to book a breakfast time. This must be an oversight on there part as 12 of us waited for 15 minutes while the cook tried to cook more food. You can see straight into the kitchen. Breakfast is served 7.30 to 10. We decided to go for an early breakfast to avoid queuing. No luck there. The greasy burnt food wasn't available until 7.45 and was served on COLD plates . We ate a meal in the hotel the first night.....big mistake! Burger was wet and bap very moist. Onion rings definitely recooked and chicken goujons also appeared recooked. Once again greasy plates. Don't order tobacco onions!!! They are like nothing ever served before. Cold bits of flakes. Apparently this is the correct way to serve tobacco onions. The male waiter stated this is "absolutely the correct way they are meant to be". I gave them back!!. Such a shame about this hotel. I would suggest they get a minimum of two chefs.....not cooks. Any reasonable person in this country can make an Ulster fry. In the end I settled for fresh fruit cocktail for breakfast. A much safer option.

Comfort 7 stars. Laughs with staff 7 stars. I went to the spa deal. Spa is wonderful and had the most exquisite treatment from Ella. That Clarins stuff really does work: loosened the sailors lines on my face big style. I eat small and the children menu was delicious. Pool, sauna , steam room , jacuzzi fab. Top Tip : Buy the house wine bottle instead off by the glass. V Nice South African Sav Blanc so it was. So much choice as to where to sit and enjoy your wine. In the USA style sports or music bar. The Club (reminds me of CIU back home). Lots of wee hidey outdoor spots for peace and quiet (enjoyed a drink with the dead people Halloween style) Value for money : Superb for this level of luxury

Difficulty sleeping because of the heat kept 2 fans on all night and left window open. Breakfast options for vegans needs addressed.

This was our first visit to the Burrendale Hotel we went for Sunday lunch which was absolutely delicious we both had the roast lamb the staff were very attentive and engaging in conversation will definitely look forward to visiting here again

We stayed here just one night. The pool area is small and noisy but is totally fine if you want a quick swim or steam. Room was clean and very big. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite. The food was also really good. The only negatives were the internet being a bit patchy, we had to wait long periods of time before ordering drinks and food. The hotel over all in the communal areas is a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint but overall we had a good stay.
